Maple Studios is now accepting interest forms from industrial technology startups or early-stage companies looking for space in 2023. The startup studio is currently undergoing renovations to expand its space on the Ramco Innovations campus in West Des Moines. Expected completion of the remodel is early 2023, after which the space will be available for new companies to move in.

Maple Studios will function on a membership-based model with a variety of rental workspaces available for individuals and teams as well as shared services provided by Ramco’s teams. The interest form and more information are available at maplestudios.com/memberships.

Since 2018 Maple Ventures has been operating as a startup studio model. The name Maple Studios better reflects who we are.

Entrepreneur support center Maple Ventures is moving into its next phase with the announcement of its first full-time director and plans to triple the amount of space available to industrial technology companies at Ramco Innovations.

Renovations are underway to convert one of three buildings at Ramco’s West Des Moines location to house Maple Ventures. The new space, expected to open in early 2023, will give entrepreneurs more space to do office work and develop and test prototypes while maintaining a connection with the technology distributor.

At Ramco Innovations on Maple Street, the warehouse was not an immediate contender to house up-and-coming startups. In fact, renting space and offering administrative assistance from the 50-year-old Ramco business wasn’t even a formal strategy when the company invited the wearable industrial safety startup MākuSafe Corp. to work out of Ramco’s warehouse space.

Today, Ramco is working to complete renovations that will open office space to five startups-in-residence at the technology distributor’s West Des Moines location.
